About Sahar

Integrative Therapist, EMDR Practitioner and Writer

Sahar Zadah is an integrative therapist, EMDR practitioner, and writer based on Bundjalung Country in the Byron Bay hinterland. Her practice is rooted in trauma-informed care, somatic healing, and psycho-spiritual integration, offering a compassionate space for those navigating disconnection, emotional overwhelm, or a longing to come home to themselves.

Sahar offers integrative psychotherapy and EMDR, blending evidence-based modalities including psychodynamic therapy, eco-psychotherapy, mindfulness, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Schema Therapy, somatic practices, and nature-based wisdom. Her work is intuitive and collaborative, grounded in the belief that healing is not about fixing what is broken, but about listening deeply to what has been silenced, forgotten, or fragmented. She is devoted to the healing of the self, the collective, and the land.

In her private practice, Sahar creates a safe and nurturing container for individuals to explore their inner world, reconnect with their body, and reclaim their voice. Her sessions and retreats weave together EMDR, somatic therapy, psychodynamic exploration, mindfulness, eco-psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Schema Therapy, meditation, poetry, ritual, and storytelling, modalities she sees not only as tools, but as sacred pathways back to the self.

Her therapeutic approach is grounded in deep presence, emotional attunement, and a relational process that honours each client’s pace. She believes the quality of the therapeutic relationship is central to healing, and that safety, trust, and resonance form the foundation for transformation.

Alongside her private practice, Sahar works as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with the Jeder Institute, supporting participants and families across Australia through relationship-based approaches. She works both from her practice in Byron Bay and online, focusing on capacity-building, reducing restrictive practices, and supporting emotional regulation and recovery in daily life.

Sahar is also a mother and wife, raising her family on Bundjalung Country where she herself grew up. Together with her husband, she is a custodian of 100 acres of regenerated rainforest — land that continues to be a teacher, a home, and a place of deep connection for her family.
