Healing Isn’t Linear, It’s a Spiral. There is no straight line through healing. No checklist. No quick fix. No single path. Some days, it feels like you’re making progress. Other days, it feels like you’re back at the beginning.
But what if you’re not starting over? What if every return is a deeper layer of release, a more honest conversation with yourself?
The Power of Trust
When we talk about “trusting the process,” we’re really talking about surrender.
To our timing. To the unknown. To the intelligence of the body, the psyche, and the soul.
Healing asks us to trust even when we can’t see the outcome.
To believe that something is shifting, even in the stillness, even in the dark.
What Trust Can Unlock
When we begin to trust our process, we often notice:
• Less self-judgment, more self-compassion
• The ability to sit with discomfort without needing to fix it
• Greater connection with our intuition
• A softening of control and perfectionism
• A deepened sense of safety in our own skin
We stop asking “Am I doing it right?” and start whispering, “I’m right where I need to be.”
Why We Struggle to Trust
Many of us grew up in environments where vulnerability wasn’t safe. Where trust was broken in our caregivers, our systems, our bodies.
So we learned to protect ourselves with control, skepticism, and survival patterns.
These were wise adaptations. But over time, they may block our ability to let in love, support, and softness.
Rebuilding Trust in Yourself
• Practice patience - notice when you’re rushing or grasping for answers
• Create rituals of care - show yourself consistency through small daily actions
• Tune into your inner cues - trust your “yes,” your “no,” your “not yet”
• Work with a therapist or mentor - someone who can hold space without rushing you
• Remind yourself - healing is a return to you, not a race to a destination
A Journal Prompt for Your Path
What part of me is struggling to trust right now?
What might happen if I allowed myself to be exactly where I am?
Healing requires faith. Not in a perfect outcome
But in your capacity to keep showing up.
It asks you to believe:
That your body knows how to return to balance.
That your spirit knows how to find light again.
That you are worthy of a life that feels like peace.
You don’t have to know the way.
You just have to take the next step.
And trust the path is forming beneath your feet.
